The evidence and material from the “bomb” that opposition leader is announcing will begin to become public from the beginning of next week, says Zoran Zaev in an
“Once the decisions would be made, the party leadership also expects several other parties of the opposition block to make decisions. It would be done this weekend. Actually, early next week is when we will begin to share the evidence,” Zaev said in the interview.
Following the publication of evidence, Zaev said he expects political resolution and resignations from those related to the materials, but leaves room for other scenarios as well.
– If this fails, then I will resign – said the leader of SDSM.
Regarding the several months of tactics, opposition leader explains that the reason for this was to protect the people who provided the information.
Zaev stated for “BIRN” that the materials come from Macedonian secret services.
He firmly claims that he hasn’t cooperated with foreign services and says that Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski was first to trigger the debate about the “bomb” on their four meetings, not vice versa.
– If you look at the terms of the conversations with the Prime Minister, you’ll see that I’ve previously publicly repeated that nobody has the right to hide the truth from citizens and that it will be revealed. All meetings with Prime Minister were only about five demands of the opposition. They were thinking about a week, it was after the third meeting, just finally to say – no, you publicly stated that you have some evidence, so if you don’t provide the evidence, there would be no negotiations. I told them there is no way to provide you with the evidence, because that will prevent the public to be informed – Zaev said in the interview.
