Today Jankuloska and Grujovski at Hearing for “Fortress” Case

Today in the Basic Court Skopje 1, suspects will appear before the judge for questioning in the “Fortress” case.

Judge Aleksandra Pop-Stefanija in the presence of a prosecutor from the Special Prosecutor’s Office today will hear from suspects Goran Grujovski, a Cheif at the Agency for Security and Counter-Intelligence (UBK), Gordana Jankuloska, the former Minister of Interior, who has already arrived at court, and three other suspects who are charged with the destruction of the equipment used for the wiretapping affair.

The judge will again decide upon the requests from the Special Public Prosecutor, such as jail for Goran Grujovski and precautionary measures against the other suspects in the “Fortress” case, after the Criminal Council of the Basic Court Skopje 1 accepted the SPO’s appeal and overturned the ruling by Judge Aleksandra Pop-Stefanija. Judge Aleksandra Pop-Stefanija at the first hearing rejected all the requests from the SPO for jail time for the suspects, however, today, the same judge will have to decide again on their requests.
