The National Assembly will discuss the budget rebalance

-

The new budget figures for 2015 that the Government adopted this Friday will be topic of discussion in the National Assembly.

The discussion will be underway without the opposition in their seats, during the session of the Commission for Budget and Financing. The Judicial Commission will also convene around the same topic.

The unfortunate event of December 24, 2013 when journalists were forcefully removed from the Assembly was also related to the budget. Then, the opposition blamed the government for “intending to vote the budget by force” without the presence of the media.

The new rebalancing of the budget, which amounts to little above 3 billion euro (largest in the country’s history), states there is an increase in the revenues of 58 million euro, an increase in the expenses of 85 million euro and also, an increase of the budget deficit of 327.5 million euro.

At the same time, projections for economic growth have been lowered from 4 to 3.5 percent. Along with the new rebalancing it is expected that the borrowing from domestic banks will increase fourfold than previously projected.
