The Report that came from the Prosecutor makes it obvious that they never intended to investigate the criminal acts in an honest and independent manner, said Radmila Shekerinska, the Deputy President of SDSM, responding to a question from the media.
-In the Report you can see lots of names, people with whom they talked to, people whose criminal activities are evident in the recordings, but one name is missing there- that of Nikola Gruevski. It seems that they’ve gathered some courage because they reported the recording about the land parcels on Vodno, but all of that is shrouded in anonymity, so we don’t know who picked the parcels, who made decisions, who requested that the blueprints are accepted as such. You notice something else- the recordings in which they discuss the highway construction, in which Gruevski is asking for money in the amount of 15 and 18 million euro- the Prosecutorship avoids to mention. There are several such examples that demonstrate the Prosecutor’s office has one and only objective- to seek an alibi for their being incapable of pressing real charges. I think the Report confirms how important is the part of the Agreement from July 15 in which Marko Zvrlevski is removed from having any influence over the investigation- stated Shekerinska.
She added that there has to be a special prosecutor who is going to cleanse the state by launching a war against crime. Shekerinska said the duty of the special prosecutor will be to demonstrate that no holder of public office can be above the law.
“That lesson must be learned by current as well as future ministers and politicians,” concluded Shekerinska.
She announced that in the course of today they will have a press conference in order to react to the Report by the Public Prosecutor.
