The draft-budget for 2021 plans 2.2 million EUR for the gas pipeline network in North Macedonia

-

Ministry of Economy’s draft-budget for 2021, plans 140 million MKD (2.2 million EUR) for the construction of the gas pipeline network in North Macedonia. AD NER plans to provide the assets through an emission of securities through a private placement, said today the Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi during the press conference when he informed about ministry’s budget.

Beksteshi said that the building of the pipeline from Skopje to Gostivar will continue and that the expectations are that this leg will be finished next year. Also, the expropriation of the land from Gostivar to Kichevo will start.

“Parallel to this we are working on establishing a public-private partnership for finishing the distribution network for which experts in three areas were secured by EBOR such as the economic-financial operations, legal matters, and technical matters,” said Bekteshi replying to a question by a journalist.

With the latest changes in the Energy law, the ministry of economy is already the owner of AD NER.
