In the first four months, the number of tourists has increased for 2,4 percent compared to the same period last year, announced the State Statistics Office.
The increase of domestic tourists is 5,4 percent, and of foreigners it is one percent. In the first four months, compared to the same period last year, registered is an increase of sleepovers for 0,8 percent, for domestic 4,4 percent and for foreigner’s 1,3 percent.
Most tourists came from Turkey, followed by tourists from Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, Kosovo, Poland, China, Italy. The most visited destinations were Skopje and the lake places, following the mountains, spa and other locations.
