On Friday, the Special Public Prosecutor’s Office submitted a proposal to the Basic Court Skopje 1 requesting an extension of the measure of house arrest for a third time for the Mayor of Bitola, Vladimir Taleski, confirmed prosecutor Lence Ristovska from the SPO for “Meta”.
“On Friday, we submitted a proposal to the Basic Court Skopje 1, for an extension of the measure of house arrest for the Mayor of Bitola, Vladimir Taleski. Now, we are waiting to see how the court will rule”, says Ristovska.
This is the third time the SPO have asked for an extension of the measure for house arrest for Taleski, which runs out today.
On June 16, the Mayor of Bitola was placed under house arrest, and on July 21 the measure was extended at the request of the SPO.
Mayor Taleski is the prime suspect in the “Transporter” case, where the SPO are charging him for abuse of office concerning the transport of students, by embezzling a hefty € 360,000.
