We will be able to take in refugees as long as the other countries on the Western Balkan route accept them as well, such as Serbia, Croatia and further up, said Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski, in today’s post during his visit at the refugee reception camp “Vunojug” in Gevgelija with his Czech counterpart Milan Chovanec.
Spasovski says he expects the member states of the European Union will make a wise and appropriate decision regarding the migrant crisis, which will solve the source of the problem.
“We expect a wise and appropriate decision by the European Union, and the Member States of the European Union, because we can not be left alone to solve this problem, because we are not the source of the problem. The refugee crisis must be addressed from the source of the problem, and to create conditions in the countries of origin where many of the refugees come from, for them to stay there. Any other solutions for the refugee route is not a solution at all”, said Spasovski.
