64 employees at the University Clinic of Dermatology in Skopje were put into isolation while the clinic’s director will be dismissed after the elections

-

Even though we implemented all of the measures, what we faced with today is something that disappointing us. Measures will be taken against the University of director of the University Clinic of Dermatology to be dismissed from her position which will happen after after the elections, informed the Healthcare Minister Venko Filipche. He announced that the clinic will be closed int he next 14 days.

-Everyone who will not be adhering to the regulations will be held responsible. Everyone who was told to remain in home self-isolation, should adhere to the measures that are repeated for the past several weeks. Jeopardizing the public health is a serious violation. Regarding the new case of coronavirus infection, I appeal that all information should be passed from the Ministry of Health as there are false information aimed at creating panic among people. After the clinic’s director was put into home isolation, two members of her closest family were also placed into home isolation. For all of those that the director had a close communication appropriate measures will be taken – said the minister.

He also informed that 64 employees at the clinic, will be put into home isolation.

-11 patients that were hospitalized at the clinic will also be taken into home isolation including 13 others that were visiting the hospital. Even though all of them have a varying degrees of risk, these measures were necessary to be taken even for those that had the briefest contact with her. Several days ago there was a conference that the director attended along with 103 other people. Part of them worked at the clinic. They were contacted and were advised to remain in home isolation. There were three people from Greece and the Greek Health Minister was informed about it -said the minister.

He also said that 8 other patients are being examined.

The Congress in Skopje was attended by doctors working at the dermatology department in Shtip and this department will be closed. The minister said that so far there is enough capacity for patients to be taken for treatment.

Tomorrow he will attend a meeting with the members of the Commission of Infectious Diseases. He also said that no other travels were banned except for the red zones in Northern Italy.
