VMRO-DPMNE on “Titanic”: We will not support illegal and unconstitutional activities

-

“VMRO-DPMNE won the trust of citizens in the past 10 years based on projects and measurable results. The confidence can not be challenged by any structures or fabricated affairs. On the contrary, that confidence will be even more firm in the upcoming elections”, reads the response of the VMRO-DPMNE after the Special Public Prosecutor’s Office held a press conference, where it was revealed that official investigations had been opened against former ministers Gordana Jankuloska, Mile Janakieski, and the Secretary of Government, Kiril Bozinovski, all senior officials members of the party.

“VMRO-DPMNE voted and supported the election of the Special Prosecutor’s Office. Unfortunately, recently we witnessed inappropriate statements by the SDSM leader Zoran Zaev, who is involved himself  in a several criminal cases, where he announced the steps of the Special Prosecutor’s Office. What’s even more tragic is that such statements were  not only not denied, but with many steps were confirmed. With that, the credibility of the institution has been drastically deteriorated and has cast a shadow on its professionalism and impartiality”, the statement said.

The public, the statement said, witnessed Zoran Verushevski’s wife publicly thanking Zoran Zaev because Katica Janeva asked for him to be from released custody, even through he is the first suspect in the case “Putsch”.

“The public has witnessed dozens of applications from people who have complained about the unprofessional and illegal behaviour of the SPP. All these stains remained unanswered at today’s press conference. VMRO-DPMNE will not support illegal and unconstitutional activities. Each government organ and each institution must act within their powers because no one is above the Constitution and the laws. Attacks on the Council of Prosecutors, a body which is responsible for overseeing the operation of the SPP, certainly does not  give any favour or build any credibility for the SPP, but further undermined. Today we witnessed a political performance, which included a large number of connected people. Party officials who were indirectly condemned at the press conference by the SPP and have not committed any criminal offences and this will be proven in future proceedings”, the statement said.
