At the open session, Government announces new investments and employments

New investment, job creation, as well as reforms in public administration are among the topics at the open session of the Government on all reforms and activities to be included in the 2015 Action Plan.

Minister of Defense Zoran Jolevski announced hiring of 250 professional soldiers.

– Two groups were structured for new professional soldiers, and each will have 125 soldiers who will be employed next year. Rules on selection was prepared, and the process will take about three months and we plan the first group of 125 soldiers to be completed by the end of March or beginning of April – said Jolevski.

Minister of Economy Vladimir Peshevski said that 2,500 new jobs will be created over five years with an investment of a US-German company. Two Belgian and a Swiss company, interested in investing in the Polog region, as well as a German company which would invest in the Prilep region, are to enter the country.

– There is a German company that has already decided to invest in Macedonia and it chose the City of Prilep. The news from the company was announced at the business forum in Frankfurt. This is a company that invests in new technology used in the automotive industry, and it is a matter of plastic modeling components which enter the components in automotive parts. This new technology is welcome in Macedonia as an investment as well – said Minister without portfolio Bill Pavleski.

Minister of Finance Zoran Stavreski said that the 32 new measures will further improve the business climate in Macedonia. They will facilitate obtaining building permits, reduce costs and procedures for connection to the electricity grid and will accelerate registration and deletion of companies. All of this is to facilitate the work of domestic and foreign companies, but also to improve the ranking of Macedonia on the “Doing Business” list, where Macedonia is the 30th of 189 countries.
