“I am prepared in the same way as the 24th of December 2012, together with my son, to be in the forefront! And I sincerely hope that all “worried people” who in the recent period called on me “where is Branko” will be together with their loved ones in my vicinity. “Lada”, the symbol of “resistance”, is in excellent condition, regularly maintained and timely registered,” wrote former SDSM president and leader Branko Crvenkovski in his address to the public.
In his letter, Crvenkovski says that he congratulates and supports current opposition leader Zoran Zaev because, through “The truth about Macedonia”, he most directly confronted all with the catastrophic reality in which we live.
According to Crvenkovski, press conferences are not enough for the regime to fall.
“It is clear that they are willing to do anything to retain power. The key question is what are we willing to do?” asks Crvenkovski in his address.
“Let us rid of the illusion that, after the disclosure of the “bombs,” Gruevski and his crew will resign and leave with hung heads. It is naive to expect from these people, after all they have done, to show any sense of responsibility. Such a totalitarian government, which controls all the institutions, abuses public money and regulates the most powerful media in the country, cannot be defeated either by individuals or by opposition parties. Such a dictatorship can be defeated only by the people,” reads the address of the former leader of the main opposition party.
Crvenkovski believes that, in the battle against this criminal and totalitarian regime, Macedonia needs a broad popular movement, comprehensive oppositional democratic front, which will include virtually all who can and want to contribute.
“The Republic of Macedonia is under a totalitarian, criminality and corrupt regime, which doesn’t recognize any statute or law. Regime which first politicized and then privatized all state institutions. Regime which abuses all financial resources of the country, not for the good of the people, but for only one purpose – how to retain power and fill private accounts in foreign banks. It is a structure of frustrated people for whom human life is not worth anything, who blackened whole families and who turned Macedonia into a country of political prisoners. Who lives on credit dies in installments, and this power numerous times but the country in debt with crazy and corrupt projects, thus destroying the prospect of this nation. With this regime, Macedonia has no future, let alone a European future,” reads Crvenkovski’s letter.
In his address, he said that neither was ill or blackmailed, that he left political scene because he did not want in any way to give the government the opportunity to continue the long, primitive and black campaign associated with him and against the new leadership of SDSM.
