New York Times published unsigned Op-Ed essay against Trump written by a White House employee

In what is represents a rare precedent for one of the most renowned US press outlets, the New York Times has published an anonymous column by a high ranking official within the US administration of the president of the US, Donald Trump, who says that together with many others, he has secretly been working to prevent many dangerous policies on part of Trump.

The column is titled as “I am Part of the Resistance Inside the trump Administration.”

The anonymous columnist states that “Trump is amoral and doesn’t even follow basic moral principles.”

“The dilemma — which he does not fully grasp — is that many of the senior officials in his own administration are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations. I would know. I am one of them” said the author whose identity was concealed but is known to the editorial of New York Times.

In the column, the official that works for the Trump’s administration says that it is not a resistance of the left, but an honest attempt by the people involved to help this administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous.

“That is why many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions while thwarting Mr. Trump’s more misguided impulses until he is out of office.” wrote the columnist.
