The third “bomb” of SDSM leader Zoran Zaev resonated strongly and caused the strongest reactions. At today’s press conference, Zaev announced recordings of tapped conversations of Director of UBK Sasho Mijalkov, Interior Minister Gordana Jankulovska, editor of “Sitel” Dragan Pavlovik-Latas, owner of “Kanal 5”, Emil Stoimenov, Jankulovska’s assistant Ivo Kotevski, and chief of Gruevski’s staff Martin Protogjer.
According to SDSM leader, on the released audio recordings, you can hear that it is agreed what and how to be reported on television, how was the arrest of Ljube Boshkoski was carried out, for the expectations of the elections, for handling with opponents – how to fire those who work in public institutions, and are not members of VMRO-DPMNE and preventing opposition activists to come to their gatherings.
Three of the recordings released at today’s press conference are discussions between Dragan Pavlovik-Latas and director of UBK Sasho Mijalkov. In one of them, they talk about the arrest of Ljube Boshkovski, and Mijalkov describes the story about the arrest to Pavlovik-Latas.
“It is not enough to be arrested, Ljube has to be humiliated as well,” Mijalkov advises Latas.
In another conversation, Mijalkov is talking to Pavlovik-Latas about the election results, and you can hear his following words: “I think we would be surprised. It will be better, and I will tell you tomorrow what is to be better. I do not want to speak before hand, but I have a feeling.”
One of the recordings released by opposition leader Zoran Zaev at today’s press conference is, according to him, a conversation between Sasho Mijalkov and Emil Stojmenov, owner of TV “Kanal 5”. Zaev says this conversation proves that Boshkovski was arrested for revenge.
In part of the conversation, Stojmenov said: “You told me, but I did not believe it. We started with the pretty boy. They will take him to court. It only remains to grant my wish and to arrest Ljupche. I am very happy.”
In addition, in the conversation Mijalkov orders what is to be reported on TV. According to Zaev, that recording, among other things, shows how they manipulated information that are to be presented in the media.
The other reported calls, according to the leader of the opposition SDSM, show that Sasho Mijalkov and Gordana Jankulovska manage everything in the country. One of the released audio recordings, according to Zaev, is conversation between Martin Protogjer, chief of staff of the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and Interior Minister on how to organize the news of “Kanal 5”.
In part of the recording, Jankulovska said: “We should make a list, and destroy them. We cannot pay someone who tortured us during the campaign. The one who was his security will no longer work in the Ministry of Interior.”
SDSM leader also announced audio recording of the conversation between the Interior Ministry spokesman Ivo Koteski and Interior Minister Gordana Jankulovska.
Finally, Zaev answered dozen of press questions.
