The president of the World Macedonian Congress, Todor Petrov, has filed an initiative to the constitutional Court for evaluating the legality of the election of Talat Xhaferi for a president of the Parliament.
He is asking the court to annul the decision of electing Xhaferi for a president of the Parliament that was published in the “Official Gazette.”
For TV Telma, Petrov has said that he expects the court to accept his initiative.
The chief of DUI party leader’s cabinet, Artan Grubi, regarding this initiative has said that “the will of the majority of citizens of Macedonia cannot be disputed as well as the will of the majority of MPs in the Parliament.”
“VMRO-DPMNE should accept the new reality and behave as a constructive opposition. It should allow the institutions in the country to be formed and to work in accordance with the will of the majority of citizens, to start the era of reforms and the returning of the state on its Euro-Atlantic way” said Grubi at the Basic Public Prosecution where he was summoned to give a statement regarding the attacks at the Parliament on the 27th of April.
