Macedonian construction companies Granit and Beton including the Bulgarian construction company ISA 2000 are interested in building the first phase of the highway Skopje – Blatze. The Public Enterprise for State Roads confirmed for Meta.mkm that the during the second tender three offers were received and they were opened on the 29th of November.
-At the moment the received offers are evaluated in accordance with legal procedures. In the moment it can’t be confirmed when exactly the construction works will start on the field but indicatively it can be expected they will start in spring 2020 – said the representatives of the Public Enterprise.
The expectations are that this tender will be closed successfully and the best offerer will be selected and the subcontractor will start building the first two kilometers of the highway. The whole road is 12.5 km. For the second part of the highway a tender will be called for in the period between April and June 2020.
in October, the Public Enterprise for State Roads canceled the initial call for building of the first phase of the highway from Skopje to Blatze. The explanation that was give was that the tender received only one offer which expenses for building the two kilometers surpassed the budget planned for finishing the project.
