When the Government decided to send a recommendation to the municipalities in the Ohrid region to declare a moratorium on construction works until a Plan for Managing with the Natural and the Cultural Heritage and in a period of 10 days to prepare action plan with a deadline for the implementations of the UNESCO’s recommendations, the municipality of Ohrid has issued a press release that it will obey the recommendations.
The municipality of Ohrid will take over all of the activities in accordance with the legal procedures in order to meet the obligations. The Municipalities’ authorized services will analyze the legal possibilities regarding the government’s recommendation for declaring the moratorium on construction works until a Plan for Managing with the Natural and the Cultural Heritage. Upon Mayor Konstantin Georgieski’s order, in a period of 10 days, an Action Plan will be made with a deadline for the implementation of UNESCO’s recommendations. As soon the PLan is done, it will be put on the agenda of the Council of the municipality of Ohrid’s session” states the press release.
