The Committee for Infectious Diseases at the Ministry of Health stated that all epidemic conditions were met for declaring an end to the measles epidemic on the territory of the whole country. This means that all additional measures for controlling the epidemics are ceased, informed the Ministry of Health.
This decision was made when 45 days have passed since the last reported laboratory case of measles or two maximum incubation periods since the last confirmed case.
According to the vaccination status, a total number of 1.520 or 80.5 % of sick children were not vaccinated, completely non-vaccinated or had an unknown vaccination status.
