Today, on a two-day official visit to Macedonia, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is coming to meet with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, Defense Minister Radmila Šekerinska, President Gjorge Ivanov, Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi and other senior officials.
Stoltenberg will land tonight, and will meet Minister Šekerinska. The meeting with Zaev will be held tomorrow at the MPs Clubhouse, which will follow with a joint press conference.
Tomorrow, in addition to the meetings, Stoltenberg will also visit Stajkovci, where in 2016 NATO troops and equipment were engaged to help after the consequences of the flood. He will also visit the Ilinden barracks where he will attend a demonstration exercise by members of the special forces, followed by press statements with Šekerinska.
In regards to the upcoming referendum, the chancellors of Germany and Austria, Angela Merkel and Sebastian Kurz are also expected to visit Skopje this week.
