Sporting events will take place without spectators, the Government issues new protocols concerning COVID-19

During yesteray’s 73rd session, the Government decided to lift the ban on organizing sporting events in collective sports and accepted the Commission for Infectious Diseases’ recommendation for the federations to start organizing sporting events with strict observance of guidelines for matches, but without spectators including other recommendations for maintaining players’ health safety and to others who are also involved in the matches.

According to the adopted information from the Action plan for the project “Free influenza vaccination for risk categories” for the 2020/2021 season, the Government decided to increase the number of people that will be vaccinated with this vaccine against seasonal influenza from 20.000 to 60.000 people. It refers to the following risk categories: adults aged above 65, anyone with a serious long-term health condition, health workers, pregnant women, and all children from six months to less than five years of age.
