SEC discusses requirements regarding data to be sent to institutions

Members of the State Election Commission met in session today to discuss proposed requests to be sent to the institutions, which according to the Electoral Code, the Commission should submit all the data to them that involves all voters.

The session reviewed requirements for the Ministry of Information Society and the Administration Ministry of Interior, also the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Also discussed at the session was the formation of a draft timetable under which the Commission can determine any deadlines for the completion of procedures.

SEC members at today’s meeting will also discuss the request from the Foreign Ministry to confirm early parliamentary elections and the submitting of a draft form for registration, the adding or deleting of data about voters who vote in diplomatic and consular offices abroad.

Today’s session was lead by the chairman of the SEC Aleksandar Chicakovski, who yesterday, while voting on whether the electoral register was ready for fair and democratic elections, rose and left the session, he was joined by two other SDSM members of the SEC, Violeta Duma and Goran Milev, who did not participate in today’s session.

The SEC has no information as to why they were absent.
