The former Director of the Security and Counter Intelligence Agency (UBK) is convinced that President Gjorge Ivanov had good intentions, but called on him to withdraw his decision to terminate legal proceedings against him, reports “Press 24“.
He believes he has done nothing illegal, and because of the President’s decision, the public will be able to fully realize the scenario which was prepared with the sole intention to politically taint influential figures from the VMRO-DPMNE.
“I know that I have worked with honesty and with a clear conscience in the best interests of my country. The proceedings filed by the Special Prosecutions Office against me have no legal basis and are based solely on political persecution, and are contrary to the Constitution and the law”, stated Mijalkov.
The head of the UBK appeared on the list of those pardoned by President Gjorge Ivanov, in relation to six cases.
