Today at noon working groups of the political parties will continue with negotiations ,in accordance to the Przhino Agreement over election laws. This morning it was decided and agreed they have have to resolve the dispute over the Special Prosecutor’s office.

“Meta” has learnt that at 01:00 am the four political parties signed a letter that will be sent to Minister of Justice, Adnan Jashari which will urge the Council of Public Prosecutors to choose the remaining seven Assistant Prosecutors of Katica Janeva’s team.

We found out that this should happen on Monday when the next session is scheduled of the Council of Public Prosecutors, a few hours before the chosen Prosecutors have to take their oath. This would unblock the current standstill of the Przhino Agreement and the EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn would only welcome such progress.

As we have discovered, after VMRO-DPMNR received the letter, they again abandoned talks, however after receiving a certain amount of pressure from the International Community, it is expected that they will finally sign and agree with the terms..

At yesterday’s talks of the working groups a request was also sent to the Constitutional Court to quickly schedule a meeting to assess the constitutionality of the Law on the Special Prosecutor’s Office.

Today the negotiations of the working groups are expected to reach an agreement on Electoral Laws and by the latest. on Monday it should be in Parliament, under going parliamentary proceedings.
