Ban on public space gatherings in North Macedonia of more than four people throughout the day

-

During yesterday’s session, the government adopted a decision to ban public space gatherings of more than four persons in parks or anywhere else in open spaces throughout the day, with defined exceptions for this ban.

Previously, the ban on groupings started after 9 p.m., informed the government’s press service.

This is a step further towards strengthening the measures in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic that at the moment is raging. Most of the burden is taken by the health system, and the hospitals are seeking free beds for patients that need to be hospitalized.

The total number of COVID diagnosed in Macedonia since the epidemic’s outbreak is 40.275 while the number of recovered patients is 24.229. The death toll is 1.156 and the number of active cases is 14.890.
