Kostovska: There are 15.800 people ill with flu, however the figure is certainly higher

-

A total of 15,800 people ill with the flu required treatment at health facilities, as of last Friday, informed the State Advisor in the Ministry of Health, Jovanka Kostovska at a press conference.

“From the information we have from the Institute of Public Health, from last week, there has been a reported 9,500 cases of the flu. Surely this figure is much higher because there are those who have not been to the doctor and were treated at home. Or, last Friday we had a total of 15,800 cases, but this figure will certainly increase in the coming days. The Clinic for Infectious Diseases reported no cases of severe consequences of the flu, or other infectious departments in the country”, said Kostovska.

The Commission for Infectious Diseases adopted additional measures to monitor the situation and to prevent the spread of the flu among the population.
