The police seized two rifles, two sniper rifles, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, two radio stations and camouflage uniform with insignia of UCK in yesterday’s action in villages Brest and Brnjarci, which are part of the weapon seized in the attack of the Goshince sentry on Tuesday last week, said Interior Minister Gordana Jankuloska at today’s press conference.
According to Jankuloska, weapons were found in buildings in two locations in Brest, owned by 55-year-old resident of the village, who, according to operational information of MOI, was part of the 40-member group that organized the attack on the sentry. Nothing was found on the location in Brnjarci that was used by the same person.
– Seized items were handed over to the Criminal Department for their further processing and expertise due to finding any traces and evidence related to the criminal case. The suspect is a 55-year-old resident of Brest and he was not found and the search for him continues in the forthcoming period, but also for other members of the group. With yesterday’s hearing, the information that we had previously was confirmed, as well as indications of the involvement of certain persons who we had based on the operational information – said Jankuloska.
Minister of the Interior did not give a specific answer to journalists’ questions about the motives for the attack on the barracks.
– We have clues and several possible scenarios for what might be the image you are wondering about, but it will be clear when we have statements and suspects that will give an explanation. Then we will talk about a clear image – stated the minister.
