– The documents for the consultative opinion for Tamara Dimovska were marked as “urgent” from the Department of Orthopedics, contrary to the claim of the Health Fund, which three days ago said that the case was not treated as an emergency – said Uranija Pirovska, president of the Helsinki Committee, at a press conference.
The documents show doctors’ proposal the girl to be sent for treatment abroad because it was not possible for such intervention to be performed in the country. Helsinki Committee for Human Rights says that this is further evidence that institutions want to avoid responsibility for the death of 9-year-old Tamara.
Tamara died on Monday while waiting institutions to complete administrative procedures so that she can leave abroad for the surgery.
