Gruevski and Bogov warn of “anxiety” among investors and the companies

-

At yesterday’s gathering “Macedonia strong,” Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said that although there have been no serious damage to the economy, the psychological condition after the terrorist attack, as well as Zaev’s statements that “there will be blood” began to cause problems to the Macedonian economy, especially in part of export.

– Foreign investors, as well as domestic, are anxious, but companies should not be afraid. They have a friendly government that understands and continuously helps and will continue to do so – emphasized Gruevski.

Governor Dimitar Bogov also agrees that the negative impact from the political crisis would be felt in the postponement of investments from both domestic and foreign companies, which will prevent new jobs and increase of wages.

– Usually, investors are very sensitive to uncertainty. They need security, stability, certainty – stated Bogov.

According to the executive director of the Union of Chambers of Commerce Mitko Aleksov, the business sector began to feel the negative effects of what is happening in the country.

– The instability directly affects the business sector, especially companies planning investment and development, it is possible be a review of the earlier decisions. Reduction in terms of private consumption is evident. In some sectors, there are indications for cancellation of orders and review of the scope for the next period – feels Aleksov.

Whether the crisis affects the economy will be known in June or July, when the data on the economic movements in April and May will be received.
