Today is the last day of the deadline for the working groups to come to an agreement on electoral legislation, as required by the Przhino Agreement. According to the parties participating in the talks, working groups met last Sunday, but an agreement was not reached.
So far, the only issue the parties have agreed upon is the membership of the SEC (State Election Commission) where the selection process will be in the form of the three plus three plus three formula. They’ll have three representatives from the Government, three from the opposition and three experts.
According to sources from ‘Meta’, SDSM wants a Ministry for the Diaspora to be established and an equal voice for all voters, as recommended by OSCE / ODIHR.
The latest deadline is on the 20th of October which political parties will have to respect and abide by, and form a Provisional Government i.e. SDSM have to propose two Ministers and three Deputies of their choosing, and VMRO-DPMNE will have to propose their choice for their two Deputies.
