Dark record in North Macedonia: 50 new COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours

North Macedonia in the last 24 hours registered 50 deaths from COVID-19, a record death toll from the start of the epidemic in the country.

According to the numbers published by the Ministry of Health, 4 174 tests were done and 1 320 new cases of COVID-19 were discovered.

Nearly half of the new cases are from the capital Skopje – 580, and the cities with second highest number of infections are Bitola, with 113 new cases, Kumanovo with 75 and Prilep with 592 new cases.

In the same 24-hour period, 457 people recovered.

The number of deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours is a record one – 50 deceased patients.

Since the start of the epidemic 633 407 COVID-19 tests were done and there were 132 740 positive results. The number of the patients who recovered is 108 197 and the number of deaths reached 3 860. The number of the active cases is 20 683.
