Amendments regarding the Election Codex that already exist within the parliamentary system, by which the election of members to the State Election Commission (SEC) would be carried out with a majority by 61 MPs, instead of the usual two-thirds majority as before, will enter the system if at tomorrow’s leadership meeting a political census is not reached for the SEC, said government spokesman Mile Bosnjakovski.
At a regular press conference by the Government, regarding the government draft-law concerning the amendment of the Electoral Codex, Bosnjakovski answered a journalist question that the new structure of the SEC would be formed very soon.
“The amendments are submitted to the Parliament. Tomorrow is the leadership meeting. Let’s see the results that come of it, but I think that in the near future it can be expected the SEC to be established. Tomorrow, either there will be political consensus, or the amendments will come into the system”, Bosnjakovski said.
