Abu Dhabi: This year’s awards for best mobile applications in the world awarded

Forty international teams that won on the last year’s event “World Summit Award” (WSA) and eight of this year’s championship WSA global mobile content championship, received awards for pioneering innovations in the field of mobile content during the three-day event “ICT knowledge sharing”, which began in Abu Dhabi yesterday.

During the three-day event, 500 mobile applications from 178 countries were presented, and the applications were classified in eight major categories, such as economics, social and business areas, trade and environmental governance, health and education.

WSAJury of IT experts, which member is Bardhyl Jashari, Director of the Macedonian Foundation for Internet and Society “Metamorphosis”, focused on originality, creativity and diversity of content.

– The event was a great opportunity to meet and exchange knowledge and experiences with recognized experts in the field. I had the opportunity to get informed about the latest developments in the field of creating content for mobile phones. Macedonia has potential for development, given that the use of mobile phones in Macedonia is high, as well as the use of smartphones in everyday life – stated Jashari for “Portalb”.

Jashari emphasized that Macedonian developers can participate in the contest and added that, as part of the jury, he had the opportunity to be part of the interesting debates and hear the opinions of world experts for the prospects of this field.

During the three-day event, which is organized every year, apart from promoting the latest mobile content, workshops and exhibitions of the latest innovations in the field of mobile technology are organized, as well as lectures of world renowned experts.
