“The European Commission confirmed that the organization of government that would prepare the elections would be determined on 10th of June in Brussels,” reads the statement of SDSM after today’s telephone conversation between party leader Zoran Zaev and EU Commissioner for the neighboring policy and enlargement Johannes Hahn, in which is also added that the views of Hahn and the European Commission, expressed in the conversation, “created an opportunity for holding the meeting in Brussels.”
“At the meeting, Commissioner Hahn clearly and accurately confirmed the allegations of OSCE/ODIHR inadequate separation of the state from the party, allegations of intimidation of voters, media bias in favor of the ruling parties and the EC concerns about the accuracy of the voter lists. In addition, he emphasized the need to investigate the content of the published conversations, including those related to election fraud. All this is clearly specified in the afternoon statement sent by the European Commission,” reads the statement of SDSM.
As announced by the party, Hahn announced a statement in which he will personally confirm today’s findings stated in the written statement of the EC for Monday.
