At today’s meeting, SDSM leader Zoran Zaev and his deputy Radmila Sekerinska informed the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) in the country, Aivo Orav, for the recent developments on, as stated by the first people of SDSM, Government’s attempt “to prevent publication of the arguments and facts about its criminal rule through a politically manipulated action against the opposition leader,” announced SDSM.
“Disclosure of evidence and arguments for crimes of the Government cannot be a coup. It’s an obligation and duty of all who received such evidence to publish it said leader Zaev. Legitimate request of the opposition leader to form a technical government, which would provide conditions for conducting fair and democratic elections, cannot be blackmail and attempted coup, “said Zaev at the meeting, announced the party.
Zaev indicated that recent developments confirm Government’s control over the judiciary and the media.
“National service MRTV conducted media blockade of key statements and views of SDSM. It transmitted the address of Nikola Gruevski live and in full, while it transmitted the address of the opposition leader less than 40 seconds during the news. The manner of reporting of the media of these events – biased, unprofessional and sympathetic to the Government – once again affirms Government’s control over the media, which was also registered in the reports of the EU,” said Zaev.
“We will publish everything we have,” emphasized Zaev at the meeting.
