For the Prosecution, the claims of SDSM are pressure on the court

-

“The decision to submit an indictment in the case “Puch”, as in all other cases, has been adopted and is based only on the evidence collected during the investigative procedure, and the Public Prosecution perceives the statement of SDSM as pressure on the court” reads the written response of the Public Prosecution to the claims of the opposition that “the decision was made by Jovan Ilievski, brother-in-law of Sasho Mijalkov, and Marko Zvrlevski, direct executor of the government of Nikola Gruevski.”

“Competent prosecutor says that decision is independent and denies all allegations of any impact on the decision. Moreover, the public prosecutor Jovan Ilievski, who is his immediate superior, is formally excluded from dealing with this case, as well as cases related to current events, and has not taken any action so that neither he nor higher prosecutors are not involved in handling the aforementioned cases,” reads the statement of the Prosecution.

It also denied claims that the competent prosecutor asked the accused to submit passports to request replacement of detention with a softer measure of security.

Late afternoon on Thursday, Basic Public Prosecution for Organized Crime and Corruption filed an indictment in the case “Puch”, in which a fourth suspect is opposition leader Zoran Zaev, who is charged with violence against representatives of the highest state authorities, to the Basic Court Skopje 1.
