VMRO-DPMNE: Ahmeti’s honesty and wisdom will now be put to the test

-

VMRO-DPMNE leader, Nikola Gruevski, along with members of the Executive Committee of the party, Nikola Poposki and Nikola Todorov, met with the Ambassador of France, Christian Thimonie, reports the party in a statement, which is long and full of details and explanations which has become common practice lately.

The French Ambassador said that what he wats to see Macedonia establish stability for moving things forward and to overcome the current situation.

“From the VMRO-DPMNE party it was noted that the party made an attempt within 20 days to form a government, although even from the beginning, it was clear that with such a slim majority government formation in Macedonia will be a serious challenge. However, despite everything, we entered in good faith and optimism. Unfortunately, DUI had some issues which deterred them from entering a coalition with VMRO-DPMNE”, say the party.

According to VMRO-DPMNE, the Albanian platform attempted to introduce negotiations of a new Framework Agreement, and such a process can take the country in the wrong direction.

“We believe it will be good to once again give a chance in two and a half months from now, perhaps along with local elections to hold new elections. Lately, some countries have suggested ideas for a broad-based government. The attitude of VMRO-DPMNE is that the formation of a broad coalition is a proven recipe for failure”, says the party.

VMRO-DPMNE stated that the French Ambassador asked whether VMRO-DPMNE believed whether Ahmeti is sincere in what he says in politics, to which they replied his sincerity and wisdom will now be put to the test, a very serious test.
