Tourists from Albania replaced Greeks at Mt. Pelister

In recent years, after the guests from Greece lost interest to relax at mount Pelister, there are massive visits of tourists from neighboring Albania. This year as well, Albanians have chosen the hotel Molika to celebrate Catholic Christmas and Vasilica, Old New Year’s Eve.

– We already have reservations for tours from Albania for 12th of December. It is a holiday in their country, so groups come in our hotel the entire weekend. Also, they tend to spend the upcoming holidays at Pelister. In the recent years, the hotel is the mostly visited by tourists from Albania, Poland and Slovenia, and, unlike before, guests from Greece are less frequent – said Mirjana Mitrevska, director of hotel Molika.

Hotel Molika, which operates under the aegis of ELEM, will invest around 2 million euros for renovation and construction of a new conference hall for a hundred participants, swimming pool and sauna.

– The rear part of the hotel will be supplemented with new contents, the investment is secured, the project is being prepared, and we hope it will bring more tourists to Pelister – says Mitrevska.

Currently, the last rehearsals and preparations for the cable-railway Kopanki and the ski lift. The staff of hotel Molika is hoping that there would be enough snow this winter for visitors to enjoy the beauty of the mountain and winter sports.
