TM: VMRO-DPMNE has paid $ 1.7 million to US companies for political lobbying

With publication of copies of contracts in recent weeks it has become clear that the VMRO-DPMNE has employed various US PR companies for political lobbying and advantageous propaganda support from within the United States. According to the published agreements the total so far amounts up to $1.7 million, a shocking figure when considering Macedonian conditions, which obviously the party have – stated “Transparency Macedonia”. The listed amounts do not include travel, subsistence and other expenses arising from the contracts signed with these companies. “Transparency Macedonia” issued a reminder on the Law concerning the financing of political parties, citing the requirement for full transparency, with full insight for citizens and the relevant competent authority for overseeing these financial and material operations.
