The criminal Court is demanding from the Parliament to terminate Nikola Gruevski’s MP immunity. In the Court’s official press release, it says that it has lodged 5 motions where the accused is the former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski.
The court is demanding a detention for Gruevski for electoral frauds in the case of “Titanic”, for irregularities during the building of highways – the case of “Trajectory”, for the demolishing of “Kosmos” – “TNT” case, for illegal financing of the party – the case named “Talir”, and for the case “Slaps at the municipality of Center”
The demands will be discussed by the Commission on Procedural, Mandate and Immunity Related Issues that is presided by Pavle Bogoveski.
In order for his MP immunity to be terminated, at least 61 votes are needed.
The oppositionary VMRO-DPMNE has called these decisions as ridiculous. They state that before terminating the immunity someone has to take responsibility for everything that is happening in the country.
