The Mayor of Bitola, Vladimir Taleski, who is the prime suspect in the “Transporter” case, after being questioned for two hours by the judge from the preliminary hearing, left the Criminal Court in Skopje, through the back door.

The Special Prosecution’s Office asked the court to place Taleski in custody to ensure his presence, however, for now, the court will not release information what measures were taken to ensure the presence of the Mayor of Bitola, or whether they allowed him to defend his case on bail.

Mayor Taleski and another 22 people are being charged with financial fraud through transporting students in Bitola.

Taleski appeared for questioning before the judge of the preliminary hearing this morning at 11:00am.
