The Mayor of Bitola, Vladimir Taleski, approximately at 11:00am appeared at the Basic Court Skopje 1 for the hearing before the judge of the preliminary proceedings in the “Transporter” case.
Mayor Taleski, as reported by “Plusinfo” arrived in court with his lawyer, Nikola Dodovski, who is the attorney to many senior officials from the VMRO-DPMNE party, who are being investigated by the SPO or already have been questioned by the court.
Taleski is the prime suspect in the Special Prosecutor’s case, and along with him, another 21 suspects are also suspected of abuse of power and authority in the transportation of students in Bitola.
The Mayor of Bitola was part of the group of politicians and their close associates to receive pardons in April, however, after President Gjorgi Ivanov revoked all pardons, the SPO have asked that certain measures be taken to ensure his presence, due to criminal proceedings that have been opened against him.
The Special Prosecutor’s Office has requested that the court detains him for the duration of his trial.
