SDSM: While the Government sits on Rococo style furniture, hospitals have no reagent for blood tests

-

The VMRO-DPMNE Government and interim Prime Minister Emil Dimitriev, according to recent announcements, will soon be sitting on Rococo style furniture in the Louis XV style, complimented by pillows and cushions made with memory foam and feathers, to go along with wine coloured tables and hand woven carpets, all paid for by the taxpayers. This is happening while citizens in Prilep cannot have blood tests checked because Prilep hospitals have no reagents, a statement from the SDSM said.

The statement also said that the hospital in Stip have no tumour markers for breasts, womb or intestine cancer cases.

“Last year the budget for the Oncology Clinic was reduced by 1.6 million euros, which left patients without the necessary chemotherapy drugs for a year. Across the world 26 different anti-epileptic drugs are in use, in Macedonia there are only 11 used. More than 20,000 people are struggling to find their way to appropriate medication therapy, which cost an average 2,000 denars. There are problems with procurement of essential medicines for children’s Pediatric Clinics. Paitents report that the economic director has cut down on purchases”,  the SDSM said.

The opposition party recalled that the Health Minister Nikola Todorov announced that pregnant women would receive free microbiological services, but in practice, no women from socially disadvantaged families from Suto Orizari did not take advantage of the measure, because of lack of cooperation between social and health services.
