SDSM wants to talk about has far the terms of the Przhino Agreement have been implemented and whether there is room for the elections to be postponed for some time, however he has no one to talk to, claim sources from the opposition party for “Meta”.

“We want to talk about what has been implemented so far from the Przhino Agreement and whether there are conditions for prolonging the electoral process, but with who, with who do we talk to?!” Said senior officials from the SDSM to “Meta” while answering the question, whether they had discussed postponing the elections and was the decision concerning the date a compromise, that they should be held on June 5, 2016.

Speculations within political circles say that the date was a compromise because holding elections in the last week of June was unacceptable for parties, due to the holiday season.
Otherwise, we have discovered that, SDSM is alone in calling for an analysis of what has been achieved by the agreement. On the other side, or to be more specific, from VMRO-DPMNE, there has been no sign for the beginning of any talks on the subject or for a possible delay of elections.

Therefore, as the leader of the SDSM Zoran Zaev told “Meta” yesterday, he would wait for the arrival of EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn to discuss the possibility of postponing parliamentary elections.

Speaking to “Meta” yesterday Zaev even went as far and said that they “might come to the conclusion that September is an ideal date”, however, he emphasized that there still has been no agreement on moving the elections and, as he said in his statement, that sort of decision would have to be discussed with all the signatories of the Przhino Agreement in a meeting with EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, in Skopje.
