Over 200 000 COVID-19 cases in North Macedonia since the beginning of the pandemic

Since the beginning of the pandemic, over 200 000 cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed in North Macedonia. The statistics of the Ministry of Health for the last 24 hours shows over 500 new cases.

The 3 622 conducted tests in the last 24 hours discovered 511 new cases, most of them from Skopje – 247, and the city with second highest number of new infections is Kumanovo, with 54 new cases, followed by Veles with 29, then Kochani with 21 and Bitola with 20 new cases. All the other cities in the newest 24-hour statistics have below 20 new cases.

In the previous 24 hours, 10 new COVID-deaths were registered in North Macedonia, 4 of them from Skopje, 2 from Kumanovo, and one each from Bitola, Veles, Shtip and Makedonska Kamenica.

Meanwhile, 497 recoveries were registered.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, 200 412 people tested positive and the number of the patients who recovered is 187 149. The death toll is 7.072 and the number of the active cases of COVID-19 is 6 191.
