The proposal for removing or further complicating the Diaspora’s right to vote is a profound disrespect to those who have continuously been making immense contributions to the economic development of Republic of Macedonia, is the reaction of the United Macedonian Diaspora (UMD) following the information that came from the Action group’s meeting yesterday, where a possible stop to Diaspora voting was discussed.
“We are following all activities of the Action group regarding the changes in the electoral laws and we are going to condemn any efforts directed at removing the right to vote of Macedonians living abroad in the next presidential and parliamentary elections,” was the reaction from UMD.
