“The Public Prosecution for organized crime and corruption takes daily measures and activities related to events that occurred in Kumanovo in the implementation of the police operation. Given the sheer volume of evidence, investigative procedure is underway. The prosecution cannot share details from the investigation. The moment conditions are created, the public will be familiarized with all the information of their interest,” reads the response of the Public Prosecution to the question of META in connection with the investigation on Kumanovo events two months ago.
However, the Prosecution has no comment on the recommendation of the International Crisis Group (ICG) for a joint Macedonian-Kosovo investigation on the events in Kumanovo, with the help of experts from the European Union (EU) and the United States, although META sent questions about which is the position of the Public Prosecutor about recommendation for a joint investigation and whether the Public Prosecutor is open and would agree to such an investigation, and if completed investigative actions on the case in Kumanovo and whether it cooperated with the Kosovo investigators.
