MOI increases the number of police officers by 6 percent

Ministry of Interior announced a public competition for admission of 600 police officers.

As stated in the announcement, the Skopje area of the Department of Internal Affairs will employ 435, while the others will be employed in other cities in the country.

According to data which “Bloomberg” published in 2008, there were 9,905 police officers in Macedonia.

In 2014, Ivo Kotevski said that we have about 8,500 police officers, and, according to the budget for salaries in the Ministry of Interior (including administration), there were 10,925 employees.

Selected candidates, announced MOI today, will sign an agreement for basic training of candidates for police officer for a period of one year, which will take place in the Training Centre of the Ministry of Interior.

After completion of basic training, police officer candidates will sign employment contracts with the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Macedonia.
