New office for decentralized cooperation Lower Normandy – Macedonia will be open tomorrow at 12:30 pm in Skopje. The office will be opened by Laurent Beauvais, President of the region of Lower Normandy, and Laurence Auer, Ambassador of France to Macedonia.

Office for decentralized cooperation Lower Normandy – Macedonia is a coordinating body of the cooperation between the French region and Macedonia. It has an important role in connecting partners from both regions and developing common projects.

This year marks 10 years since the start of this cooperation. So far, in the framework of the cooperation, over 100 exchanges, projects and partnerships between municipalities, associations, cultural and educational institutions were realized.

Institutional partners of the collaboration program are the Ministry of Local Self-Government of Macedonia and the region of Lower Normandy. The cooperation is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France and the French Embassy in Macedonia. The program is coordinated by the Association of Local Democracy Agencies (ALDA).
