Zoran Zaev, the Prime Minister of North Macedonia met with Rachel Galloway, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to North Macedonia. The intensification of the cooperation between the two countries even during the pandemic was hailed at the meeting, the press release notes.
“An expectation for even more active promotion of this cooperation in all areas, after the signed Agreement for Partnership, Trade Relations and Cooperation between the Republic of North Macedonia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was voiced at the meeting. As an example of the good cooperation was the mutual recognition of the drivers’ licenses between both countries and the formal procedures are about to be completed,” informs the Government.
During the meeting, a joint determination for increasing the economic cooperation was expressed, even though the United Kingdom is one of the biggest direct foreign investors in North Macedonia.
Also, informationabout handling the pandemic was shared by both countries .
There were also talks about assistance and sharing experiences from the UK concerning areas such as security, the rule of law, the education and the media.
