North Macedonia with all-time high – 641 new COVID-19 cases, number of active cases surpassed 6 000

North Macedonia registered today an all-time high number of newly diagnosed cases of COVID-19. According to the Ministry of Health, in the past 24 hours 2 688 COVID-19 tests were done and 641 new patients were diagnosed with the disease. More than half of them, 325, are from the capital Skopje.

The Institute of Public Health registered 233 recoveries, and 12 patients passed away in the past 24 hours. Three of them are from Skopje (aged 52,73 and 85) and two patients each from Prilep (aged 75 and 78), Veles (aged 61 and 62) and Gostivar (aged 43 and 76). The rest are patients from Kumanovo (aged 59), Strumica (aged 66) and Sveti Nikole (aged 69).

The total number of COVID-19 diagnosed in North Macedonia since the start of the pandemic climbed to 24 836, the number of the patients who recovered is 17 905 and the number of patients who passed away climbed to 862.

For the first time since the start of the pandemic the number of active cases in North Macedonia surpassed 6 000 and is now 6 069.
